Karachi police foil terror bid, arrest two terrorists
Arrested terrorists came to Pakistan from Afghanistan about a month ago
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi Police have foiled a major terror bid and arrested two alleged terrorists associated with banned outfit.
According to details, police carried out operation in Ibrahim Haidri area of port city and arrested two who received training from Afghanistan. Police also recovered over 1kg of explosives and detonators.
As per police, the terrorists were involved in attacks at NATO forces in Afghanistan, ransom kidnappings and several other similar illegal activities.
Sources have said that arrested terrorists came to Pakistan from Afghanistan about a month ago and were planning attacks in the country. Further investigation is underway and more arrests are likely.
