Rawalpindi: Traffic warden gunned down by unknown motorists

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - A traffic warden was killed in firing by unidentified gunmen in Rawalpindi.

According to police, City Traffic Warden Naveed was on duty at Ratta Amral Police Station when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on him, injuring him severely. The accused fled the scene leaving Naveed in critical condition. He was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.

SHO Race Course Imran Abbas was shot dead by unknown target killers on March 7 near Deputy Commissioner House in Civil Line Police Station area while the head constable of Federal Police was also martyred by unidentified gunmen in Islamabad on the same day.

On the other hand, Malik Shamim, a resident of Mouza Mujahid of Chontra police station, lost his life due to firing of unknown accused in Ahmedabad area of Saddar Baruni police station.
