Man held for stealing mobile phones in Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) – An accused involved in stealing and selling mobile phones was arrested in Malir Sakhan area of Karachi.

According to details accused was arrested for stealing from a shop in Malir Sakhan area of Karachi three days ago. The accused was selling stolen mobile phones in Steel Town. A police constable Abdul Qadir, who was involved in assisting the accused, was also arrested.

Police arrested the accused with the help of CCTV for breaking the locks of the shops and being involved in shoplifting.

According to police, accused Saeed Lakho was selling stolen mobiles in Steel Town area. More than 100 boxes of stolen mobile phones were recovered on the identification of the arrested accused.

The accused revealed that the stolen mobile phones were kept in the house of police constable Abdul Qadir posted in the Rapid Response Force.

Police constable was also arrested for possessing stolen property and assisting in the incident while raids are being carried out to nab the brother of the arrested accused Saeed Lakho.

Police had registered a case on September 16 against unknown persons for breaking the locks of the shops and stealing more than 200 mobile phones and cash.
