Pakistan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization seizes cigarettes worth millions
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization, in separate operations, seized cigarettes worth Rs 80 million and illicit injections worth more than Rs 4.8 million. Customs officials registered cases and arrested three smugglers.
Model Customs Collectorate Anti-Smuggling Organization officials raided three warehouses located at Bolton Market on MA Jinnah Road and recovered smuggled cigarettes and cigars and arrested two smugglers. The recovered cigarettes and cigars are worth more than Rs 80 million.
Customs personnel transferred the recovered cigarettes to warehouses in four containers. In another operation, customs personnel seized a parcel from South Africa to Karachi from the office of a private courier company and recovered 1,610 illicit Boston injections worth Rs 4.8 million and the person who ordered the parcel, Sadruddin, was arrested.
