Suspect wanted in terrorism case allegedly shot dead by own accomplices.
SAHIWAL (Dunya News) – A suspect wanted in terrorism case has been allegedly shot dead by his own accomplices during a police encounter, Dunya News reported on Friday.
According to details, Tarkhanwala police conducted a raid on a tip-off to arrest wanted suspects in terrorism case. The militants opened fire on the personnel upon their arrival.
The police retaliated and summoned extra contingent after which Sahiwal police also reached the spot. However, the suspects managed to escape taking advantage of night.
The police conducted a search operation afterwards and recovered a dead body of one of the suspects who has been identified as Najeeb Ullah aka Najju Baloch.
The officials maintained that he was killed by his own accomplices and had martyred on-duty ASI Mumtaz Hussain on May 12, 2020. Special teams have been formed to arrest other suspects who managed to escape.
