Rallies held in Hyderabad to seek justice for Nimrita Kumari

Protest rallies were organized by the minority community, civil society and QAT in Sindh.

LARKANA (Dunya News) – The case of recently found dead body of Nimrita Kunari, a final-year student of Bibi Aseefa Dental College,, has not been solved yet which sparked a rally in Hyderabad.

According to Dunya News, the report of final post-mortem of Nimrita has not been released yet whereas the investigation with her two class fellows, Ali Shah Memon and Mehran Abro is underway.

Dunya News received a CCTV video from the Bibi Aseefa Dental College, recorded shortly before the death of Nimrita Kumari. CCTV footage showed both class fellows, Mehran Abro and Ali Shan, talking to Nimrita alone in the classroom.

On the other hand, Sessions Judge Larkana declined judicial inquiry into the Nimrita Kumari murder case requested by the Singh government.

The Sessions Judge remarked that no orders have been received by the Sindh High Court for the judicial inquiry and it can’t proceed legally on the request of Home Department.

The incident has not been registered yet, nor does the belongings of Nimrita has returned to Mirpur Mathelo.

In Hyderabad, protest rallies were organized by minority community, civil society and Qaumi Awami Tehreek (QAT) against the alleged murder of Nimrita.

Participants marched from the SP Chowk to the Press Club and raised slogans against the murder of student Nimrita. They addressed the Speakers at the rally expressing that they, too, should be considered Pakistanis as they are patriotic.

They condemned the murder and said that the case should not suppressed and real murderers should be arrested and punished as soon as possible. “We demand protection for the minorities,” they added.
