12 international smugglers arrested from Peshawar
SSP operations said drugs worth millions are recovered.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Police have arrested 12 international smugglers in a joint operation with secret agencies from the provincial capital. The smugglers were involved in smuggling of drugs from last several years.
SSP Operations Zahoor Babar Afridi said the members of international group of smugglers were arrested by police from different parts of the city. The suspects were smuggling ice drugs and heroin from Afghanistan from last several years, he said.
He said Peshawar was being used as transit rout while the drugs were sent to Punjab, Sindh and gulf countries.
SSP operations said drugs worth millions are recovered from smugglers and further investigation is underway.
