Karachi police recover suicide jacket in intelligence operation
The suicide jacket was planned to be used in Youm-e-Ali procession.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi police recovered a suicide jacket in east zone lines area after conducting an intelligence based operation on Monday.
The suicide jacket was planned to be used in Youm-e-Ali procession.
DG East Amir Farooqi said the timely action by security forces has saved the city from a big damage. He said the suicide jacket weighs 6 Kg and it was defused immediately.
Amir Farooqi said gunpowder and nut bolts were used in suicide jacket that can cause significant loss to human lives. He said 20 suspects were arrested for interrogation in this connection.
