SHUJAABAD (Dunya News) – Shujaabad police recovered a woman held hostage by a pir in Khanpur Qazi at his dera.
The victim named Samia revealed being sold for Rs 13 lacs, seven years ago by her parents.Tired of her in-laws cruelty, she took refuge with the family pir Subhan.
According to the victim, the Pir with an intention to rape, kept her hostage for one month and tried to sell her to a man named Rafique.
As per details garnered by the police, the woman informed about her whereabouts on the police helpline 15, taking immediate action police recovered the girl from the confines of the pir, who fleeing from the scene of the crime was still at large; the police was conducting raids for his arrest.
