One killed, three injured in clash between two groups in Karachi
Police officer reported that earlier mosque was handed over to a Deobandi group under court orders.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least one killed, three people wounded on Sunday, in a clash between two religious groups over possession of mosque in Mehmoodabad area of Karachi .
According to details of a senior official, around 150-200 men from Sunni Tehreek and Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) attacked the men from Deobandi group present inside the mosque.
Police reached the spot and arrested ten people who were involved in the clash and used violence against each other. After the incident, police and rangers have been deployed in the area to maintain the security situation in the area.
The police officer reported that earlier the mosque was handed over to a Deobandi group under court orders.
