61 people arrested for power theft in KP

A total of Rs3.5 million has also been recovered from those involved in power theft.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police on Tuesday apprehended at least 61 people in crackdown against power theft.

According to police, on the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Mehsud a crackdown against power theft was carried out across the province.

During the operation, around 71 cases power theft and illegal connections were registered while 61 accused were also detained.

A total of Rs3.5 million has also been recovered from those involved in power theft.
