Newborn kidnapped from Jinnah Hospital Lahore
The rickshaw driver also works as a guard at the hospital.
LAHORE (Dumyat News) – A newborn girl was kidnapped from Jinnah Hospital Lahore, police reported on Thursday.
With the help of CCTV footage, police has arrested the rikshaw driver who carried the burka clad woman kidnapper who had suddenly fled from the scene.
Police officer said, the rickshaw driver, who also works as a guard at the hospital, had dropped off the woman at Daroghawala area and returned to Jinnah Hospital.
According to reports, wife of Nadeem, a resident of Kot Lakhpat, gave birth to a baby girl at Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital at 2pm on Wednesday but the minor was kidnapped at 9pm the same day.
The baby was in the hospital room with her mother and grandmother when the burqa clad woman kidnapped the baby, police added.
The medical superintendent of Jinnah Hospital has constituted a three-member team to investigate the incident.
