Rawalpindi: Three suspects held in Careem captain murder case
Careem driver named Sajawal was murdered by robbers in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Police have nabbed three suspects in Careem, an online taxi-hailing service, captain murder case on Wednesday a day after he was slain in cold blood a day ago.
The development surfaced today after a Careem driver named Sajawal was murdered by robbers in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
Police sources reported that Sheraz and Sajjad, the three suspects, hailed the cab at 10:45pm and attempted car-lifting upon reaching the destination in Dhok Lakhu area of Rawalpindi. However, they abandoned the vehicle in a nearby locality and fled.
It was reported that the bullet-riddled driver was shifted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A case was lodged with police a day after which three suspects have been held.
It should be mentioned here that it is the second incident against online taxi-hailing service drivers in three weeks as a driver was earlier murdered in precincts Golra Police Station.
