LAHORE (Dunya News) – After Zainab murder case, Punjab government has decided to prepare fingerprint database of two million criminals involved in different crimes.
An Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS) worth Rs49.50 crore will be bought to further equip the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA).
An important session of Planning and Development Department was held in this regard, and detailed briefing was given concerning the project.
Finger and palm prints of criminals will be taken from all prisons across the province. The project will be made operational in six months.
