TABUK (Web Desk) – In Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk, police has told that a man in his 30s attempted to murder his own infant child. Police had arrested the person after it received complaints from a primary school, Al Arabiya reported on Tuesday.
Police also told that legal proceedings against the culprit are underway and he will also be presented in the court.
Police spokesperson revealed that they were told by a private primary school that a person held his infant child in one hand and a sharp edged knife in the other while entering the school.
The spokesperson continued that the man reached school’s vicinity and attempted to murder his child with the knife but the child was saved by the people while the culprit was handed over to the police.
According to the eye-witnesses, the culprit appeared to be mentally ill evident from his weird statements while attempting to murder his child.
The infant was later handed over to his mother.
