Summary Ansar-ul-Sharia terrorists used armored piercing bullets which were imported from Afghanistan

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Abdul Kareem Sarosh, the arrested leader of Ansar-ul-Sharia Pakistan (ASP), has revealed that latest and deadly weapons were used in the assassination attempt on Mutahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-Pakistan) leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan, reported Dunya News.

According to details, during the intelligence based operation (IBO) carried out by the intelligence agencies and Karachi police, latest weapons were used by Sarosh and other supects. A police officer was killed, while another got injured during the raid.

According to details, Hassan was also targeted with the weapons used by Ansar-ul-Shariah chief during encounter with law enforcement agencies. A NORINCO company 20 shooter 9mm pistol was used while the assailant also fired multiple armored piercing (AP) bullets. This deadly bullet is so deadly that it can pierce an armored sheet.

According to sources, these bullets can only be imported from Afghanistan. In attack on Khawaja Izhar, alleged assailant Hassaan had filled two magazines of his weapon from these bullets.

Earlier on September 2, a secuirty guard and a child were killed after unknown assailants fired at Izharul Hassan while he was leaving for his home on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha.
