Over 90 mobile snatching incidents reported daily in Karachi
So far, a total of 27,733 mobile phones have been stolen in 10 months.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Mobile phone theft has continued unabated in Karachi as Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) revealed that over 90 mobile snatching incidents have ben reported daily in old city area.
According to CPLC report, 2095 people in Clifton area, 2021 in Sadar while 1500 locals have been deprived of mobiles in old city area.
So far, a total of 27,733 mobile phones have been stolen in 10 months as 3130 cases were surfaced in January, 2897 in February, 2855 in March, 2743 in April, 3033 in May and 2583 in June.
2890 cases registered in July, 3205 in August, 2636 in September while 1791 mobile phones were snatched from the natives on gun point.
On the other hand, a huge rise was also observed in the cell phones robberies as minors steal mobiles from the shops.
