KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi police on Wednesday arrested two suspects involved in the murder of former federal minister Raja Basharat’s nephew.

The police while conducting an operation in Nazimabad area detained the two suspects Umar and Adil.

According to police officials, the suspects have confessed of killing the minister’s nephew Raja Shoaib in Rawalpindi on December 5. They escaped to Karachi after committing the murder.

Police on a tip-off about the suspects’ entry into the city carried out snap checking during which they were nabbed.

The suspects are also nominated in the murder case registered in Rawalpindi whereas their three accomplices are still at large.

Officials also state that Rawalpindi police have contacted for the extradition of the suspects who will be handed over to them after completing legal proceedings.
