KARACHI (Dunya News) – A terrorists was killed Wednesday night as Rangers clashed with suspects in Lyari, Karachi. A suicide jacket was found from the killed suspect.Rangers also rounded up and took six operatives belonging to a banned organization into custody, including a target killer from various areas of the city.  

The raids and crackdown against target killers is part of an ongoing operation in Karachi initiated by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif in September 2013 to ensure peace and stability in the volatile atmosphere of the city. More than 10,000 suspects have been arrested by the Rangers up until now with more than 7000 weapons seized during the operation.

Earlier this week, Karachi’s police developed a list a report listing 86 suspects that have been implicated in various crimes in the city. The list includes criminals linked to political parties, operatives involved in Lyari gangwar and suspects belonging to other illicit groups.
