KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have apprehended at least ten criminals in different operations in Sindh s metropolitan, Dunya News reported Tuesday.

Details have it that a local was killed while a woman among two injured in two different firing incidents in Korangi area. A firing incident late in the night in Korangi number five’s family park left two locals injured who were shifted to the Jinnah Hospital afterwards.

One of the injured, identified as Sardar Ahmed gave up his ghost while under treatment. Police said that firing is believed to be a result of resistance against dacoity however, the case is under investigation. In another dacoity incident in Korangi, an eunuch was injured.

Police have arrested at least four felons in different encounters. Two criminals were apprehended after an encounter with Garden Police in Dhobi Ghat area. The culprits were caught in injured condition while weapons were seized from their possession.

City Superintendent of Police (SP) Zeeshan Siddique said that the culprits belong to a group involved in Lyari gang war. Paredi Police have also apprehended two car lifters on Muhammad Jinnah Road. At least two stolen cars, narcotics and weapons were seized from felons possession.

On late Monday night, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Civil Lines arrested as many as six terrorists belonging to banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

CTD Civil Lines arrested 6 terrorists belonging to TTP’s Khan Zaman Group and outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Asif Chhotu Group.

CTD police arrested the suspected terrorists named Muhammad Niaz aka Sarwar, Habib ur-Rehman Arifi, Hafiz Munir Ahmad, Tabassum ur-Rehman, Ejaz Hussain and Umar Farooq while 2 hand-grenades, 2 rifles, 6 pistols and numerous bullets were taken into custody.
