PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – A man coupled with his son-in-law in Peshawar allegedly killed his wife and two daughters today (Friday).
According to details, Ibrahim alongwith his son-in-law Sheraz opened fire on his wife and two daughters as a result of which the three of them died on the spot.
Sheraz’s wife was also among the dead women.
Police reached the scene on getting information of the incident however; the culprits managed to escape.
A large number of people also gathered outside the crime scene but police officials barred them from entering the house.
According to initial report, the incident occurred due to domestic dispute. Moreover, police while collecting proofs are further investigating the incident.
Hundreds of women are murdered by their relatives in Pakistan each year through domestic violence or on the grounds of defending family "honour".
The Aurat Foundation, a campaign group that works to improve the lives of women in Pakistan s patriarchal society, says more than 3,000 women have been killed in such attacks since 2008.
