Summary Rana Akhtar was arrested for smuggling liquor and mobile phones at Lahore Airport
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Protocol Officer of Governor House Punjab Rana Akhtar has been arrested on Monday at Lahore Airport on the charges of smuggling liquor and mobile phones, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Rana Akhtar reached the plane to receive a passenger named Naeem Siddiqui who was coming back from Dubai. Rana Akhtar was coming out of the green channel along with Naeem Siddiqui carrying two bags when customs officers stopped him.
More than 100 mobile phones worth Rs. 3 million and 8 bottles of liquor were revered from the bags. Customs arrested Rana Akhtar and Naeem Siddiqui.
According to customs official, protocol officer Rana Akhtar was also drunk. He said that the local police and Airport Security Force (ASF) have been informed about Rana Akhtar’s condition.
