Summary 25-year-old Serbian was killed before a Euroleague basketball match between Turkish team Galatasaray

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) - Turkey s state-run news agency says an Istanbul court has charged a Turkish man with murder over the stabbing death of a Serbian basketball fan and ordered him imprisoned pending trial.

The 25-year-old Serbian, Marko Ivkovic, was killed last week before a Euroleague basketball match between Turkish team Galatasaray and Serbia s Red Star in Istanbul.

Turkish police this week detained seven people for questioning over Ivkovic s death.

The Anadolu Agency said one of the suspects identified as Kadri Aktas was charged Friday.

The six others were released after questioning, but could still face charges.
