Summary During the last mont, Islamabad Police have arrested 27 culprits involved in crime of dacoity.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Islamabad police have nabbed 147 absconders involved in crime of heinous nature during last month in its special crackdown against outlaws, a police spokesman said.

Inspector General of Police Islamabad Sikandar Hayat has assigned the task to all police officials to ensure arrest of proclaimed offenders and inform his office on the daily basis about success in this special crackdown.

He also directed all SDPOs and SHOs to launch massive crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders.

In compliance of these directions, SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan directed all heads of police stations of Islamabad to start their renewed efforts to arrest outlaws. A total of 147 absconders including 66 proclaimed offenders and 81 court absconders have been apprehended during last month.

According to details, City Zone arrested 24 proclaimed offenders, 21 court absconders while Saddar Zone apprehended 25 proclaimed offenders, 29 court absconders. Similarly, Industrial Area Zone nabbed 07 proclaimed offenders, 10 court absconders while Rural Zone nabbed 11 proclaimed offenders, 20 court absconders nabbed during this period.

Meanwhile, during the same period, Islamabad Police have arrested 27 culprits involved in crime of dacoity, murder, robbery, car theft and recovered stolen items worth 35,55,500 rupees from their possession.
