Summary Islamabad police are conducting checking vehicles through mobile verification system.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Islamabad police deployed on pickets and performing patrolling duties are continuously conducting checking of vehicles, suspects through mobile verification system and a total of nine vehicles were impounded during last three days.
During the last three days, nine vehicles were impounded in various police stations for being driven with fake registration or number plates.
The vehicles impounded by the police include QM-395 (Mitsubishi) being driven by Irtza Mehmood with fake number plate, UR-013 (Corolla Car) being driven by Jamshed with fake number plate, UR-013 (Pijaro) with bogus number plate driven by Muhammad Irfan, UR-013 driven by Ijaz with bogus number plate, LEE-7100 driven by Zahid Majeed with bogus number.
Similarly, car number HH-382-ICT (Corolla) being driven by Abdul Majeed, WF-001 (Land Cruiser) being drive by Usama Tajammal, HK-568 (Honda Car) being driven by Abdullah Naseeb and KW-705 (Land Cruiser) being driven by Asif Ali were also impounded for having bogus number plates.
IGP Islamabad Sikandar Hayat has said that use of this new technology is underway to ensure effectively policing and give better output. He said that acquaintance with modern technology for policemen is very essential to effectively combat criminal elements and the best use of `mobile verification system’ is being ensured.
SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan has said that all possible steps are being taken to secure the city and ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens He said Islamabad police would be made more responsive through introduction of this strictly supervised tool and hoped for further effective policing in future.
