ISLAMABAD: The Crime Investigation Agency of Islamabad Police busted two gangs involved in various crimes, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
The spokesman said that the arrested gangs were involved in street crime, dacoities, snatching mobile phones and vehicles at gun point besides recovering 15 mobile phones, CNG kits, weapons and daggers from their possession.
Following the directions from SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq to ensure strict vigilance patrolling and vigilance by CIA police, SP (Investigation) Mustansar Feeroz constituted special teams for this purpose. One of the team working under his supervision headed by ASI Tasneem Ahmed including constables Sabir Ali, Ghulam Jilani, Faisal Mehmud and others succeeded to bust a gang involved in street crime, mobile snatching, dacoities and other criminal activities.
The nabbed gangsters were identified as Sajid Zaman Abbassi, Hamid Ejaz ul Haq, Mubeen Shah, Aqib Azad, Khan Wali and CIA police team recovered 15 mobile phones, two motorbikes stolen from the area of Industrial area police station, lap tops, three pistols, and two daggers from them.
During the preliminary investigation, the nabbed persons have confessed to commit several dacoities in the areas of Koraal, Industrial area and Shehzad twon police stations. Meanwhile, this team also busted another gang of car thieves besides recovering CNG kits and parts of the vehicles.
