Seven arrested, drugs recovered in Islamabad

Summary Seven alleged criminals including four women were arrested and drugs were recovered from them.

 

ISLAMABAD: Golra and Tarnol police stations have arrested seven persons including four women and recovered 4.660 kilogram opium, 2.510 kilogram hashish from their possession, a police spokesman said on Thursday.

 

Following the directions from SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq regarding strict patrolling at the entry and exit points of the city, a special team supervised by ASP (Saddar Circle) Rana Tahir including


Sub-Inspectors Nusrat ali and Muhammad Ashraf started special checking at `Sadaat Colony’ and arrested five drug pushers including three women besides recovery of 4.660 kilogram opium from them. The nabbed persons have been identified as Naurez Khan, Sohail Khan, Bakht Zareen, Sanam Bibi and Rozina Bibi.

 

Meanwhile, Sub-Inspectors Ghulam Shabbir and Muhammad Idrees from Tarnol police station arrested a female identified as Asia and recovered two kilogram hashish from her while another person Imtiaz Khan was arrested for having 510 gram hashish.

 

SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials for high vigilane and effective patrolling in their respective areas to curba activities of anti-social elements.
