SIALKOT (Dunya News) - In a significant development in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Kamil Khan, owner of the newly inducted franchise Sialkot Stallions, has formally announced his departure from the team.

In a post on social media platform X, Khan said that he took charge of the Sialkot Stallions out of his deep love for Pakistan cricket and carried out his responsibilities with sincerity and commitment.

He highlighted that despite a short span of time, the franchise achieved notable milestones, including signing Australian star Steve Smith, appointing former Australia captain Tim Paine as head coach, and securing a partnership with global sportswear brand New Balance.

Khan stated that his decision to step away followed careful consideration of recent administrative decisions.

Although he had made up his mind some time ago, he wanted to ensure the franchise was left in safe hands before formally announcing his exit.

He also extended his best wishes to the team for future success.

In another major development, reports indicate that more than 90 percent of the shares of the Sialkot Stallions are being sold to a new investor group.
