(Web Desk) – South Africa defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by six wickets in their last group match of the T20 World Cup at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Indian capital Delhi on Wednesday.
Proteas raced to 123-run victory targter on the second ball of 13th over for the loss of four wickets. Dewald Brevis contributed 36 runs with the help of one hit to the fence and three sixes. Ryan Rickelton hit 30 which included three fours and two sixes and captain Aiden Markram 28 laced with five fours and a six.
Earlier put into bat, the UAE managed to score 122-6 as their batsmen failed to produce big partnerships. Alishan Sharafu was the top scorer with 45 compiled off 38 balls. His knock included five fours and one six. Skipper Muhammad Waseem hit four fours in his 12-ball knock of 22.
For South Africa, Corbin Bosch captured three scalps and Anrich Nortje bagged two conceding 12 and 28 runs, respectively.

The UAE, on the other hand, have won only one match in the ongoing tournament and are at the fourth spot with two points. They have defeated Canada by five wickets.
The match has no significance for both the teams. South Africa have already qualified for the Super Eight stage, while the UAE cannot qualify for next stage even if they win.
