KARACHI (Dunya News) - The women’s national selection committee has named Umm-e-Hani as replacement for the injured Rameen Shamim in Pakistan women’s ODI and T20I squads for the tour of South Africa, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed on Tuesday.

Rameen sustained a left-hand thumb IPJ dislocation during a training session at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi. She has been sidelined for four to six weeks and will begin her rehabilitation process right away.

Off-spinning all-rounder Hani, who was recently appointed Pakistan Women’s ‘A’ captain for the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars, will be replaced by Omaima Sohail in the squad. Meanwhile, Hafsa Khalid has been named the captain of Pakistan Women’s ‘A’ for the 20-over tournament in Bangkok, Thailand.

Pakistan Women’s T20I squad will depart for South Africa on 7 February, while Pakistan Women’s ‘A’ squad will depart for Bangkok on 10 February.
