LONDON (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially decided to host upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches at the Muzaffarabad cricket stadium in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The announcement was made by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi during the PSL roadshow held at London’s iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Naqvi revealed that the PCB has initiated steps to prepare the Muzaffarabad stadium to the highest standards. “We are going to develop the Muzaffarabad cricket stadium in the best possible way,” he stated. The stadium is already equipped with essential facilities for international players, including five-star hotels, ensuring a comfortable stay for visiting teams.

The PCB chairman also highlighted that the initiative is not limited to PSL games alone. Alongside PSL fixtures, other international cricket matches will also be hosted in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, signalling a broader effort to bring top-level cricket to the region. Details regarding the exact number of PSL matches to be staged in Muzaffarabad are yet to be disclosed.

The PSL, launched in 2016 with five franchises, is set to expand further in its upcoming 11th edition with the addition of two new teams. This will mark the league’s first major restructuring in seven years, increasing the total number of franchises to eight.
