Sri Lanka Cricket has announced its ODI and T20 squads for the Pakistan tour, with Charith Asalanka leading both teams ahead of the ODI and tri-nation T20 series starting this November.
COLOMBO (Dunya News) – Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced the national squads for the upcoming tour of Pakistan, which includes both One Day Internationals and Twenty20 matches.
The Sri Lankan side will play a bilateral three-match ODI series against Pakistan before participating in a tri-nation T20 series involving Pakistan and Zimbabwe. According to the statement issued by SLC, Charith Asalanka has been appointed captain of both the ODI and T20 squads for the Pakistan tour.
Several prominent names have been included in both formats, such as Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kamindu Mendis, Kamil Mishara, and Janith Liyanage. The squads also feature key all-rounders and bowlers like Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Dushmantha Chameera, Asitha Fernando, and Ishan Malinga.
For the ODI squad, Lahiru Udara, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Pawan Rathnayake, Jeffrey Vandersay, and Pramod Madushan have been selected exclusively. Meanwhile, Dasun Shanaka, Kusal Perera, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dushan Hemantha, and Nuwan Thushara will represent Sri Lanka in the T20 format only.
Pakistan vs Sri Lanka: Ticket sales open for white-ball series
The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will commence on 11 November, while the tri-nation T20 series featuring Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe is scheduled to begin on 19 November. Both series will take place in Pakistan as part of the upcoming international season.
