Babar Azam reflected on his recent struggles, saying he stayed positive, worked hard, and thanked Allah after regaining form.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan cricket team’s batter Babar Azam said that sometimes it feels like everything is going well, yet things don’t go your way.
Speaking alongside captain Salman Ali Agha after the T20 series win against South Africa, Babar shared his thoughts on his recent performance.
He said his plan was to play cautiously up to 40 runs. “It was difficult to face spinners in the middle overs, so I decided to play them carefully and attack only when the ball was in my range — and it finally came,” he added.
Salman Ali Agha praised Babar, saying the team and nation were delighted with his form, believing that Pakistan can win any event when he scores runs.
Talking about his recent dip in form, Babar admitted he couldn’t meet people’s and the team’s expectations but remained positive and continued working hard.
He further said, “Sometimes it seems everything is fine, but things still don’t go your way — Alhamdulillah, today Allah has been kind.”
