(Web Desk) – India on Tuesday announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup in the UAE.
Suryakumar Yadav will captain India while Shubman Gill named vice captain as the defending champions eye to bag a record-extending ninth title.
The Indian squad features several major changes, with the return of some big names enhancing strength for the upcoming event.
Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav have been included in 15-player group while Yashasvi Jaiswal misses out.
Bumrah made his return to white-ball event for the first time since the 2024 T20 World Cup. The pacer, who has only featured in Test cricket since last year’s T20 World Cup final, was rested from limited-overs matches and also missed the ICC Champions Trophy due to injury.
India has selected young trio of Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma and Rinku Singh to boost their batting department.
The Asia Cup 2025 will begin from September 9, with India opening their campaign against the UAE on September 10.
