YORK (Web Desk) - Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq continued his blazing form in the One-Day Cup, smashing his second consecutive hundred to guide Yorkshire to a commanding seven-wicket victory over Lancashire.
Lancashire, batting first, set a challenging target of 295 after Michael Jones’ brilliant 102 off 88 balls, laced with six fours and seven sixes. George Balderson added a quick-fire 70 from 48 deliveries, while skipper Marcus Harris (32), Harry Singh (33) and Arav Shetty (27) chipped in with valuable runs.
Yorkshire made light work of the chase, reaching 295-3 in 46.5 overs. Imam anchored the innings with a classy 117 off 124 balls, striking ten fours and five sixes. William Luxton kept the momentum flowing with a rapid 77 from 63 deliveries. A decisive 74-run stand between James Wharton (41*) and Matthew Revis (41) sealed the win.
With three wins from as many matches, Yorkshire now sits atop Group B with 12 points and a healthy net run rate of +2.219. They face Somerset next on August 14.
Imam leads the tournament batting charts with 331 runs in three games, including two centuries and a fifty, at an imposing average of 110.33 and a strike rate of 98.21.
