Multan Test: England start positively in pursuit of Pakistan's 556

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Pakistan got out after scoring 556 runs, while England scored 96 runs for the loss of one wicket in their first innings by the end of day 2 of the Multan Test.
In pursuit of the towering 556 runs, England opened their innings with captain Ollie Pope and Zak Crawley. However, this partnership didn't last long, as captain Ollie Pope was dismissed without scoring by Naseem Shah.
Zak Crawley is currently on the crease with 64 runs, alongside Joe Root with 32 runs.
Earlier on the second day of the match, middle-order batter Saud Shakeel and nightwatchman Naseem Shah pushed the innings forward from a score of 328 with four wickets down.
Later, Naseem Shah returned to the pavilion after scoring 33 runs. Mohammad Rizwan, who followed, was dismissed without scoring.
The national team lost their seventh wicket at a total score of 450, with Saud Shakeel getting caught out after scoring 82 runs off 177 balls.
Aamer Jamal, who came in next, managed only 7 runs before heading back to the pavilion.
Meanwhile, national fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi played a quick innings of 26 runs.
The last player to be dismissed for the national team was Abrar Ahmed, who scored 3 runs, while all-rounder Salman Ali Agha remained not out with 104 runs.
At the end of the first day of the Multan Test, Pakistan had scored 328 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, thanks to remarkable centuries from Shan Masood and Abdullah Shafique.
