(Web News) – Afghanistan openers Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz have broken the partnership record of Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan. 

The Afghan opening pair became the highest scoring partners in a single edition of the T20 World Cup in the Super Eight match against Bangladesh on Tuesday.

Babar and Rizwan had scored 411 runs as partners in the World Cup 2021, while Zadran and Gurbaz have scored 442 runs. 

The Afghan duo has also become the pair to have four fifty-plus partnerships in one edition of the World Cup.
