LAHORE – Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam set another record in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) history, becoming first batsman to score 3,000 runs in the tournament.

Azam, a right-handed batsman, achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first player to reach 3000 runs in the PSL, surpassing any other player who has yet to breach the 2500-run mark. He achieved this feat in the second match of the ninth season of the PSL at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

Despite facing a challenging target of 207 runs, Azam exhibited his exceptional skills by reaching a fifty in just 29 balls. However, despite his impressive performance, scoring 68 runs, Zalmi fell short in their chase, thereby rendering Azam's brilliant knock in vain.
