(Web Desk) – The Pakistan cricket team has received a tradition welcome in Auckland after they reached New Zealand for a bilateral T20I series.

A pōwhiri, a traditional welcome ceremony, was arranged for the Pakistan and New Zealand teams at Eden Park, Auckland.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared clicks and a video of the ceremony on social media platforms.

On Tuesday, the Team Green reached Auckland from Sydney after Test series against Australia. The five-match T20I series against New Zealand is scheduled to take place from Jan 12.

It will be first assignment for Shaheen Shah Afridi as Pakistan captain while Mohmmad Rizwan has been named as his deputy.
