BENGALURU (Dunya News) – A stunning batting performance from David Warner and Mitch Marsh led Australia to post their highest-ever total against Pakistan in World Cup.

Aussies’ opener pair built a record-breaking partnership of 259 runs to ensure dominance of their side on the bowlers. Warner lit up the Bengaluru stadium with stunning boundaries as he made 163 off 124 while Marsh scored 121 off 108.

After their removal, the remaining pair could not maintain the momentum but they kept putting the runs on board and posted a total of 367 runs against Pakistan.

It is the highest ever total from Australia against Pakistan in the history of the world cup.

Earlier, Sri Lanka built a highest total of 344 runs against Pakistan during this season on October 10 and the Team Green created history by chasing down it.
