The ceremony was organised before the high-powered Pakistan and India clash today (Saturday).
The fanciers were eager to know that who would perform in this ceremony. Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Sachin Tendulkar, Arijit Singh and other film stars graced the event in Ahmedabad.

Speaking to media earlier, Anil Patel, secretary of Gujrat Cricket Association, said the ceremony would take place at 12pm and 20 to 25 Pakistani journalists and some officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would join the gathering. He said arrangements for the event had been finalised.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to organise the ceremony ahead of the India-Pakistan fixture at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the world’s largest cricket ground. No launch ceremony of this mega event was organised.
