Summary England bowling great Broad grabs fourth position in Test rankings
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan skipper Babar Azam continues to achieve milestones as now he has jumped two spots to the fourth position in the Test rankings on Wednesday.
The development came after Babar XI played a Test series against Sri Lanka. The 28-year-old is now behind Steve Smith (Australia), Joe Root (England) and Kane Williamson (New Zealand).
Though he scored 76 runs against Sri Lanka, it is the demotion of Marnus Labuschagne (Australia) and Travis Head (Australia) that paved the way for Babar to jump in the Test rankings.
Saud Shakeel and Abdullah Shafique, who proved their mettle against Sri Lanka, were placed on the 15th and 21st position, respectively.
Meanwhile, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi also advanced to sixth position in the Test ranking by jumping three spots.
Ravichandran Ashwin (India) was placed in the first position and Ravindra Jadeja (India) grabbed the third position.
On the other side, England bowling great Stuart Broad, who bade adieu to international cricket, claimed the fourth ranking in the Test cricket.
