Pakistan is being treated unfairly: Zaka Ashraf
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Zaka Ashraf, who is most likely going to be the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) next chairman, declared that he was opposed to the hybrid format for the Asia Cup from the very beginning.
The hybrid model, according to Ashraf, who served as PCB chairman under the previous Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) administration, was not advantageous for Pakistan.
For the Asia Cup, "I had already rejected the hybrid model. Pakistan is being treated unfairly. It is improper to hold key games outside of the country. Being the hosts, the entire event should occur at home", he said today in an address at a local gathering in Islamabad.
Earlier last week, the chairman of dissolved management committee Najam Sethi said it was up to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, patron of the PCB, and former president Asif Ali Zardari to select either him or Zaka Ashraf as the next board chairman.
