Bangladesh has already given assurance to the PCB

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The cricket boards of Afghanistan and Nepal have assured that they will play matches of the Asia Cup tournament in Pakistan.

The development comes as Bangladesh have also assured the same to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) through email as the latter is emphasising on hybrid model as India was reluctant to visit Pakistan to take part in the event.

Under the hybrid model, India has been offered to play its matches on a neutral venue. India’s reservations on the model proposed by PCB chief Najam Sethi hold no significance as it is not part of the matches to be played in Pakistan.

The assurance from Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal has brightened the hops for approval of the hybrid model.

Reports said negotiations on neural venue could be held once the hybrid model is approved.
