LAHORE (Web Desk) – On April 21, 2002, Pakistani former speedster Shoaib Akhtar had achieved his career-best ODI bowling figures while playing against New Zealand during the first ODI of Kiwis’ tour of Pakistan at the National Stadium in Karachi.

In this match, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan managed to post a competitive total of 275/6 in 50 overs on the back of Mohammad Yousuf’s thrilling 125 and Younis Khan’s 69-run innings.

As New Zealand came to field for chase, they faced made remarkable deliveries that uprooted six key players of the visitors. He removed opposition captain Craig McMillan, wicket-keeper batsman Robbie Hart, Andre Adams, Brooke Walker, Ian Butler, and Jacob Oram by losing only 16 scores.

Pakistan won the match by 153 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
