Babar leads Zalmi squad for training session ahead of PSL 8

KARACHI (Web Desk) – All format captain of Pakistan Men’s Cricket team and captain of Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, Peshawar Zalmi, Babar Azam led the first training session ahead of the eighth season in Karachi on Wednesday.

In the pictures, the players can be seen doing bowling, batting and fielding practice. “Peshawar Zalmi begins its preparations for #HBLPSL8 as Skipper @babarazam258 leads the 1st Training Session in Karachi,” wrote the official page of PSL franchise.

Babar is Zalmi’s latest induction for the eighth edition of the league. The superstar batter will be determined to lead from the front and lead Zalmis to their first PSL title since PSL 2 and their second PSL title overall. Babar has been magnificent in the tournament during his time with Karachi Kings. Babar has scored 2,413 runs at an average of 42.33 and a strike rate of 121.13 in 66 innings he has played in PSL history.

PSL is set to start from Feb 13 with Shaheen Shah Afridi’s Lahore Qalandars facing Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultan on the same day. The match will be played in Multan.
