Shaheen Afridi fit to lead Lahore Qalandars in PSL 8

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandar’s COO Sameen Rana has said pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is completely fit to lead the defending champions in the eighth season of the Pakistan’s biggest cricketing event.

Sameen Rana said the team is excited to participate in the event under Shaheen’s leadership. He also stated that the star bowler is currently training with the national team and is in complete rhythm.

Sameen further added that the team has no pressure and never takes pressure as the team has also seen a bad time and also hoped they will defend the title. He shared that it is his wish to become first team of PSL to defend the title.

He shared that they have tried to make a balanced combination. “Bowling is our strength but we also have world class batters. Instead of Samit Patel, we have picked Liam Dawson and replaced Mohammad Hafeez with Sinkander Raza,” he said.

He also lauded Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi and hoped the league will be more successful in his leadership. “He started PSL in tough times and PSL needs an administrator like him,” he added.
