Hafeez bids farewell to Lahore Qalandars ahead of PSL 8.

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Former Pakistan captain and player of Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars, Mohammad Hafeez has said his goodbyes to the franchise after four years.

Taking to Twitter, Hafeez wrote, "My journey comes to an end with Lahore Qalandars here. Thanks for the amazing last 4 years of learnings and success."

He also said that he will always cherish "the amazing memories" of working with the team. He also wished his franchise members all the best for their future endeavours.

Hafeez played four seasons for the franchise and during that time Lahore won PSL title for the first time in 2022 where he was named Player Of The Match in final.

The 42-year-old former Pakistan international smashed 69 off 46 balls in the final and then claimed figures of 2-23 as the Qalandars beat defending champions Multan Sultans by 42 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal also left his franchise Peshawar Zalmi. The former player will be available for the PSL 8 drafts.
