"My performance is not as bad as people point fingers at me," said Iftikhar.
LAHORE (ONLINE) - Pakistan’s middle order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed has said he takes positive out of peoples’ criticism on him.
"My performance is not as bad as people point fingers at me. Those who talk negatively, I take positive out of it,” Iftikhar said during a news conference as he talked about Pakistan’s defeat at the hands of arch rival India.
"I don’t think there was any shortage from our part; India got good momentum. You have to give credit to Virat Kohli; he played brilliantly," he said.
Iftikhar scored a brilliant half-century, scoring 51 off 34 balls which included four sixes and two fours.
Speaking to the media after India’s defeat by four wickets, Iftikhar said that the Pakistan-India match has always been challenging, which is cricket’s beauty.
"I try to give my hundred percent in every match; I did not know that I became the first Pakistani batsman to hit four sixes in Australia," he added.
