KPL: Ashraf ton guides Muzzaffarabad Tigers to 5-wicket win
In the second match of the day, Overseas Warriors eased to a five-wicket win over Bagh Stallions.
MUZZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – Opner Zeeshan Ashraf’s unbeaten 107 runs led Muzzaffarabad Tigers to five wickets win over Kotli Lions on Tuesday in the eighth match of the Kashmir Premier League being played in Muzzaffarabad, Dunya News reported.
Batting first Kotli Lions piled up 195 runs for the loss of four wickets. Asif Ali batted well for Lions and scored 67 runs in just 34 balls. He was ably supported by Syed Abdullah who contributed 35 runs in a 16-ball innings.
Muhammad Hafeez and Usman Yousaf bowled well for the Muzzaffarabad Tigers and claimed one wicket each by giving away 10 and 29 runs respectively.
Muzzaffarabad Tigers in reply reached the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of five wickets. Zeeshan Ashraf played superb unbeaten knock of 107 runs after facing 62 balls. Waseem Jr was other notable contributer with 16 runs.
In the second match of the day, Overseas Warriors eased to a five-wicket win over Bagh Stallions. Batting first Bagh Stallions set 187 runs target for Overseas Warriors. Shan Masood was top scorer with 73 runs.
Chasing a target of 187 runs for victory, Overseas Warriors reached home in the 20th over for the loss of five wickets. Haider Ali played a fine knock of 91 runs to guide his side to victory.
